The closed joint-stock company “Orel-Pogruzchik” was created on the base of open joint-stock company “Pogruzchik” in 2006 after reorganization. More than fifty years “Orel-Pogruzchik” is presenting in the market at road building technology and is one of the most important producers of wheel loaders in Russia. By now more than 55 thousand of wheel loaders have been produced and realized, from which 3 thousand have been exported in 23 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. The optimum relationship of the price and the quality was achieved by the high degree of technological effectiveness and unification of items. The increased reliability and enhanced maintainability is also providing. This is repeatedly confirmed by the examples of the operation — some wheel loaders have been working already for more than twenty years. The history of the Orel plant of wheel loaders begins since March 1956, when “Orel mechanical service plant” was established. Since 1959 the plant has been developing masters the manufacture of wheel loaders and several models of machines for the communal services. Since that time the plant is called “Orel plant of loaders”.

At the beginning of the 70’s the country’s first wheel loader Д −561 was developed and was produced (with rated capacity 1, 8 t, on the pneumonic-motion, with the rigid frame, steered by the rear axle and by the transmission).Then, the modified models — Д −561А, Д −561Б, TO −6А were manufactured. In 1983 the frontal wheel loaders TO −30 (with articulated frame), and its modification ПK −2202 and ПK −2701 were set to the series manufactures. These machines successfully competed with the analogous wheel loaders of foreign firms by the technical level. From 1995 until 2004 company produced wheel loaders ПВ-5002, ПВ −5003, ПВ-50031 with the load capacity — 5 tons.

Since 2001 the enterprise produces the wheel loaders series ПK, which form the standard-size number of the machines with the diverse collection of the operating characteristics, which completely satisfy the demands of the market for road building technology and which ensure the fulfillment of all forms of the loading and discharging operations. The wheel loaders of series ПK −27, ПK −33 and ПK −40 differ significantly both in the price and in the technical characteristics from many analogous machines of the domestic and foreign firms.

In contrast to the previous models, in the modern wheel loaders the kinematic diagram of loading equipment was changed, It ensures the realization of the shallow -up and breakout force in the regime of digging, reliable manipulation of the working elements (including fast-change) both in the nitrogen-load conditions and with the payload. In the wheel loaders the stability of the longerons of rear half-frame from transverse failure is increased, the mounting brackets of the bob suspension of bridge and the framework of this suspension are intensified. It made possible to solve the main problem of the reliability of machines — to exclude breakdowns in the cross beam of arrow, yoke, front and rear half-frames, other elements of loading equipment. At present the manufactured wheel loaders are certified. Beside the wheel loaders with the standard list of bucket, there are models of wheel loaders with the device for the rapid replacement of additional operating units (small or oversize bucket, two-leaf grab bucket, lifting hook, fork for loads, fork for clamps, hook assembly, agricultural fork, clamp, snow blade, grader blade), that increase possibility of using the machine for any purposess. Fast-change device makes it possible for the operator to replace the operating unit in 2—3 minutes, without leaving the cab. The wheel loaders are completed by worn details of the best domestic and foreign producers — the transmission series У.35.615, axle ОДМ.73.001—4 of the Lozovsky mechanical plant, the engines of Minsk motor plant. Safety is ensured by the thermal—vibro-sound — insulation’s cab equipped with FOPS-ROPS. Simple operation of working equipment, hydro-control, comfortable seat, increased visibility provide the comfortable working conditions and high productivity of the work of operator. Since 2007 all the models acquired the contemporary exterior view of the cab and hood, if it is necessary the conditioner is equipped.
